It would certainly help if you've read Nightshade (the previous book in the series), but it's not essential. Doing well on exams is the main thing on Alex's mind, that and skateboarding.

Amazing Book! This is a great continuation of the Alex Rider series. I am glad Anthoy Horowitz continued the series. This book real shows Alex Rider pushed to his limits especially when he is facing someone who is the total opposite of him. Definitely touches on the concepts if Alex Rider followed a different path instead of being a secret agent.
